Janelle received her JD from Washington University in St Louis, School of Law in 2018. She was an editor at the Journal of Law and Policy and provided services for low income individuals through the Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic. She earned her BA from Waseda University in 2010, graduating with honours. She is admitted to practise law in the state of California.
