Alex Davie is a chartered accountant and focuses on the provision of expert financial advice in the context of international arbitration and litigation. Typically, this involves the quantification of lost profits, assessments of wasted costs, business or intellectual property valuation, or advice relating to accounting matters. Alex also provides valuation advice in non-contentious circumstances, including in the context of corporate restructuring or transactions. He has 18 years of professional experience of financial and accounting matters. For 11 of those years, the focus of Alex’s career has been the provision of financial and economic advice in the context of disputes.

Alex has been appointed as expert or has led the preparation of expert reports in proceedings before the English High Court, US courts, arbitral forums including tribunals under the rules of the ICC and the LCIA, and in bilateral investment treaty cases. He is named in the Who’s Who Legal Arbitration Expert Witnesses 2021 list. According to WWL, Alex is an ‘incredibly responsive and thorough’ expert who is ‘always thinking four steps ahead, pre-empting any future hurdles and therefore providing invaluable advice’.

Alex was previously an equity analyst at Morgan Stanley and has particular experience in the leisure and hospitality, technology and energy industries.
