Abhijnan Jha is a partner in the dispute resolution team at AZB & Partners, New Delhi. He graduated from the National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata, in 2013 and holds an LLM from the University of Cambridge. He has been involved in several ad hoc and institutional arbitration proceedings relating to shareholder disputes, supply contracts, option contracts and licensing disputes. He represented IHH Healthcare Bhd in arbitration proceedings as well as arbitration-related court proceedings before Indian courts. He has also represented Amazon in its dispute with the Future Group.
At present, he is representing multi-national corporations such as Baker Hughes and Flextronics before the High Court of Delhi in arbitration-related proceedings. He is also advising and representing a global pharmaceutical company in arbitration proceedings seated in Mumbai, India, against the erstwhile promoters of an Indian pharmaceutical company.
Abhijnan is named in the 2023 edition of The Legal 500: Asia Pacific directory. He is a visiting faculty member at the Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai and has taught a course on international commercial arbitration to postgraduate students. He has also been a guest lecturer at Ashoka University, Sonipat.
